the 16th July 2007 and sorry we have been unable to update the site
for a while, just too busy. The site continues to do well with all the major
search engines and now from RIP OFF BRITIAN which is encouraging, a couple of
things have come to light in the last few weeks in particular from some RAC
AUTO WINDSCREEN employees but we are not ready to post this yet, SOON THOUGH
and it will open a totally new can of worms! Unsure if you have all heard about
the petition doing the rounds (it was not started by leakingwindscreen.com) but
if you have not signed it then why not, you know it is the right thing to do,
small businesses are being forced out of the industry because the big companies
(not just the RAC) are along with the insurance industry closing out the little
guys, and some believe they are doing this unlawfully, So please sign the
petition and let’s get it sorted out.

have been approached now about starting a consumer champion website not only to
give advice but to offer (with the help of some free lawyers) your legal stand
point when things go wrong and shoddy service is all that is offered, the site
would be able to write to the people involved and their replies would be
printed regardless of the answer, then all can see exactly what a company is
like to deal with before you use them, No more hidden corporate members we will
print their names, phone numbers, email addresses the whole shooting match.
OF COURSE THE DECENT COMPANIES OUT THERE
HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR.

WINDSCREENLEAK is hoping to get some help from RIP OFF BRITAIN, they have nearly 80000 visitors a month so that should make a big difference to the hit rate. LOOK OUT BRITAIN.

Ouch that had to hurt, but at least the RAC paid the insurers back, all £820,000, I suppose the RAC must have thought long and hard about that one as when I took them to court they waited till the last minute before trying to sort it out, but I wonder what would have happened if they had ignored the Association of British Insurers do you think they would have started a website telling everyone about how the RAC had tried to rip them off, No I doubt it they would have sued them daft and probably put them out of business. I am still trying to find out the truth about this story but when I do it will be here first. If you work for the RAC and know about the goings on when the Association of British Insurers took them to task then drop me an email. I bet the RAC hoped this one would stay under the carpet...FRAUD is not a good thing, I for one would not use a company that had fraud investigations carried out on it regardless if they paid the money back
The new domain is up and running http://www.leakingwindscreen.com is ONLINE and based in the United States of America just in case anything happens to windscreenleak.com. More news as soon as I have it.
28th March 2007, the move to the states was unsuccessful and we are now awaiting changes to the servers to facilitate the move, hopefully this will be completed on or around the 15th April 2007. Another domain has come online, http://www.leakingwindscreen.com is ready to go although it will not be up and running until the 15th April 2007 at the earliest due to server maintenance. The windscreenleak.com website has been submitted and accepted as part of RIP OFF BRITAIN which gets about 80000 hits per month so I think that will help with the numbers. They look on anything that has seen a consumer ripped off as another chance to let others know what is happening out there, More news as soon as I have it..
there has been changes in admin etc and this has made the change to a simple site with no adverts etc possible and also the site moves to the good old USA soon to ensure it can not be removed from the internet, the new admin looking after the site are still guaranteeing the content so I can only assume it will continue and only get bigger. I am still on the lookout for more stories if you have any and have the proof to back them up then let me know. The windscreenleak.com website is soon to be joined by at least another 5 domains all hosted in the USA and all associated with leaking windows from the RAC. Today is Saturday the 3rd of February 2007, it has been an eventful week and the site is still growing, I have had to put on hold the sale of the domain also until I decide what to do with it. Traffic is still steady and in particular Google and Yahoo seem to have finally started to list the whole site which means the new keywords are starting to get through and get recognised which is good news.

Today the 23rd of January 2007 saw some changes to windscreenleak.com, I have had an email from a hosting and advertisement company offering 10 free domain names and free hosting for as long as I need it so I am on the lookout for ideas for domain names to add to the list. anything with windscreens and RAC would be good but not racautowindscreensleak.co.uk as we already own that one and it is coming back into service soon as the legal advisors don't see why it should not be used regardless of the copyright as I am not selling nor pretending to be part of RAC, some other interesting developments have come from a person wanting to purchase the rights to the site and domains but allow me free control over what goes on it which seems fair but it is going to take time to sort out as they are abroad. The hit rate is climbing as most of the search engines are now hitting the site with the windscreen leak or fault as search terms, I intend to have 100000 hits by the end of the year....and with the new domains coming online soon hopefully I will be hitting the million mark in less than 2 years, Thanks for visiting and keep passing the site address along
Just a quick word on how and where the site is going, in the last eight weeks or so I have had more than 10000 visitors to this website which I truly believe is amazing considering I work full time and only spend about an hour a week doing maintenance and updates to the site. The amount of support is growing and for now I have resisted the opportunity to make a quick pound and sell it on even though I have had plenty of very generous offers which would more than cover the replacement car costs and beyond.
My intention's I hope are clear! RAC AUTO WINDSCREENS firstly did a very poor job of replacing my windscreen then tried to lie there way out of the responsibility of repairing my car once they had ruined it, so in response to that I decided to take them to court and then I decided to start this website. I have learned a lot from this experience and as a result I will never allow a company associated with RAC to work on my vehicle again, I have also learned that you should not trust your insurance company to make choices for you when it comes to problems as I have discovered that when RAC told Bell Insurance they had investigated and found no problems what they really meant was that they had lied to cover up the problems they had caused and were going to tell Bell Insurance a pack of lies also.
